In the pre-election polls, CIES addresses the following parameters:

• Voter satisfaction
• Views of the campaign
• Image of political leaders
• Social climate barometer
The most essential functions of these surveys are:
• To help understand the meaning of the campaign and the election
• Explain what issues are important to citizens
• Understand what qualities of candidates affect voters' decisions
• To know the support for particular policies
• Predicting the outcome of elections
In non-election periods, CIES also carries out studies that include the following aspects:
